Janet and I bought FOLDING BIKES that we can keep in our car during our travels. They'll be available for riding almost all of the time, as we'll be either driving our car, or towing our car ("toad" in RV speak) behind our motorhome. We first considered standard bikes on a rear bike rack, but then we decided that being locked inside the car would significantly reduce the risk of theft, and exposure to road dirt. The 1st picture below shows my folded bike in our car, on top of Janet's "bike-in-a-bag". The 2nd picture shows my bike unfolded, and ready to ride.
We went to the OHIP office in Kingston today and signed up for the "once-in-a-lifetime" permission to be out of Ontario (our home province) for two years of travel, without loosing our Ontario government health insurance (normally we have to be in Ontario for 5 out of every 12 months to keep our medical insurance). We are excited that we can travel in Canada and the USA, whenever and as long as we want from July 16, 2007 to July 31, 2009! We do plan to be back in Belleville in late May and early June 2008 and 2009 for doctors' appointments and visits.
We gave up a couple of weeks ago when we couldn't find a better motorhome to replace our small C22 motorhome. Although we searched on line throughout Canada and the US, we couldn't find anything with the features, quality and price we wanted. So, it was quite a surprise a few days ago when a "Triple E" motorhome (one of the highest rated brands) showed up for sale right here in Belleville with almost everything we wanted in a better motorhome, and a reasonable price difference. We agreed to buy it yesterday!
As we will be travelling and staying in this motorhome much more over the next two years, we believe that we will enjoy the better features; i.e. two swivel lounge chairs with small table in the living/dining room, private bedroom with walk-around queen bed, smoother ride with longer wheelbase, 18' awning that covers the doorway, more storage space, etc. Please see our pix below. The new-to-us "1998 Triple E Senator C28" is less than 6 feet longer than our "2000 Triple E Regal C22". Both have the same Ford E350 Triton V10 engine and truck cab.

A "blog" can be a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world. "Blogs" are published and available for viewing on the Internet. The term "blog" originated from people posting "logs" of their thoughts, arguements, etc. on the Internet. As the "World Wide Web" (www) came into being, they called their postings "WebLogs". This is now shortened to "blogs", and the people doing the posting are called "bloggers". "Blogs" are so popular now that newspapers and TV newscasters often review and quote "bloggers" as current samples of public opinion on politics, etc. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but you may not see the blog, "Paul and Janet Travels" on CNN anytime soon.
